Armon Shahdadi
IP Attorney
Armon practices all types of intellectual property law, with a focus on both patent litigation and prosecution in the mechanical and electrical technology areas. Armon honed his intellectual property skills at well-known firms such as Finnegan before joining CMB and Apex.
Armon’s practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office includes drafting a number of successful petitions for inter partes review (IPR) and requests for reexamination, as well as handling traditional patent prosecution. He has trial experience before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, popularized by recent changes in patent law and a useful tactic for influencing litigation or negotiations.
His technological experience spans a variety of fields, from simple mechanical matters to complex electrical ones. For example, he has worked with technology relating to medical devices, drug-testing platforms, wind turbines, wireless communication protocols, telecommunication networking, video compression, encryption algorithms, tire-making machinery, optical lenses, audio equipment, sports equipment, papermaking, and multimedia streaming.
In addition to counseling clients regarding patent prosecution in the USPTO, Armon also provides clients with legal opinions regarding patentability, freedom-to-operate, invalidity, and noninfringement issues. He also guides clients through intellectual property litigations, provides IP valuation services, polices unauthorized use of client trademarks, and negotiates complex licensing agreements concerning intellectual property and other company assets.
